Kido Academy

Early childhood development, care and education is a 300 hours certificate course that will not only equip learners with the knowledge and understanding of early childhood development, care and learning in children between the age groups of birth to 8 years, but also help learners develop skills of working with children in an early years setting. 

Since English is the language used during the online training as well as in the reading material and assessments, basic understanding, written and spoken skills in English will be required by the learners to complete the course effectively. Since this course is open for freshers in the field of early childhood education, basic high school educational qualification (10+2) is a must to ensure learners have the foundational knowledge in literacy, mathematics, critical thinking skills that are essential to understand the course content.

Yes, the certificate course offered by Kido Academy is open for freshers who have no experience in the field of early childhood education.

The course curriculum is organized into three main modules, encompassing a total of 14 learning objectives distributed across them: understanding the foundation in early childhood development, promoting health, ensuring safety, care, child protection, inclusivity and diversity in early childhood education, core competencies and current practices with regards to learning and development, classroom management skills, and partnership working for an early years educator. 

Learners will receive reading material to understand the course content in order to complete assignments.

Assessment methods for the online training phase will include active participation in discussions, quizzes, end of unit projects, assignments and case studies. Learners will be informed about the assessment criteria for both online and in-class practical experience in detail upon the start of their course.

Yes, the in-class practical experience is a mandatory component to be awarded the course certificate. This 2 -month experience can be completed at any preschool of your choice or at a Kido International Preschool (subject to availability and selection).

Yes, upon successfully completing all the mandatory units through the online training, meeting all assessment requirements, as well as completing the mandatory in-class practical experience hours in an early years setting, learners are awarded a certificate of completion from Kido Academy.

The certificate course is designed specifically to align with the educational standards and requirements in India. Upon completion, it provides opportunities to work within India, but it does not qualify you for roles at Kido preschools in the UK, US, or China.

For the online theory-based training, learners would require a notepad or a book to make notes, a reliable internet connection, a computer or tablet, and access to standard software such as Zoom and Microsoft office. Online training will be conducted via Zoom. 

The certificate course offered by Kido Academy is a live training course, wherein you will be required to attend 2.5 hours of training virtually, twice a week. There will be no recordings available.
