Austin, Texas, United States
River Place is our largest school yet, featuring 15,000 sq. ft. of space for kids to explore. The center is located in a scenic neighborhood, framed by steep hills and Lake Austin, with River Place Elementary School just a five-minute walk away.
We believe stunning learning environments create the right impetus for children to interact, play and learn. The result is a place where children, teachers and parents work together to build a community of inquiry between adults and children.
The school has twelve large rooms, two indoor play areas measuring 700 and 1400 sq. ft., a Community Library, and a room designated for nursing mothers. In addition to this, there are separate outdoor play areas dedicated to each age group. Great care has been taken in resourcing all areas; every aspect of our school is tied to developmental activities that are part of our programs.
The infant rooms are tailored specifically for them and are dedicated to 10 children per room. It features comfortable baby furniture, fun toys and resources for sensory, physical and cognitive development.
The Preschoolers have a much larger space, where they can run around and enjoy the multitude of activities available to them.
By blending the teachings of Reggio Emilia and Montessori, we have created an environment that sparks inquisitiveness throughout all stages of learning and development.
Kido has been amazing with our pre-schooler. We can tell she is learning something new every day. Communication is great via the Kido parent app. We came from a Montessori school prior and Kido seems to have a somewhat similar education philosophy, so our kid had no issue adjusting. When your child refuses to leave school, when you pick them up, you know they are doing something right! Everyone there is super sweet! We are very happy with them so far.
Hsuu Vierling, Kido AustinAll of our teachers are formally educated and have a wealth of experience in the childcare industry and a genuine passion for teaching children. We put our heart into it and welcome teachers from different nationalities and cultures. This along with the 100 hours' internal training is all to ensure we give your child the very best learning and development experience while they're in our care.
Our international team of experts has created a comprehensive pedagogy known as the Kido Early Years Program. This innovative system incorporates the best practices from teaching philosophies from around the world, such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia and the theory of Multiple Intelligences.
You won't miss a moment of their development. Through our app for parents, you'll get regular updates, pictures and communication from your child's teacher throughout the day. Also during pick-up and drop-off we'll be sure to talk through anything you need to know and answer any of your questions.
